“Long before De La Soul, the great sages of the 70s set forth a sacred truth, a truth long lauded by vaudeville comedians and long bastardized by the Catholic church, that the number 3 is, above all other numbers, magic.  And yea, though I have preached to you, my brethren, of the value of the Neapolitan threesome of glorious womanhood, there may yet be a greater glory:  3 Brunettes.

I give you—The Rhinestone Follies:  Kita St. Cyr, dark, ample and budonkadonk-buxom; Hazel Honeysuckle, pale, svelte and Cosmo-cover delectable; and Beelzebabe, short, spunky and girl-next-door take-advantage-some.  Something for everyone.  Truly, 3 be magic.” - J.D. Oxblood, burlesquebeat.com

The Rhinestone Follies are New York City’s only all-classic burlesque troupe, bringing you a spectacular monthly showcase of glitter, glamour and gilded girls!

In the summer of 2008, long time pinup model Kita St. Cyr and gogo girl Beelzebabe each decided to enroll in a series of classes at New York School of Burlesque. Realizing they had similar taste and aesthetics, they found themselves fast friends and often performed together. They soon met Hazel Honeysuckle, a former ballerina and up-and-coming burlesque starlet. The three formed a friendship, and after a year of performing individually, decided to form The Rhinestone Follies, a classic showgirl troupe.

Today, The Rhinestone Follies is an emerging force in the New York Burlesque scene. Having appeared in numerous media including The New York Times,  The Village Voice and Time Out NY, the Follies is quickly wowing both burlesque veterans and first time show goers. During the first two annual Coney Island Talent Shows, the girls won the title of Best Dressed Dance troupe thanks to costumes that boast hundreds of feathers and over a million rhinestones.

In December of 2011, the girls happily welcomed singing burlesque sensation Ginger Brown to the troupe.  Together, the four of them produce a monthly show at the Triad Theatre, one of New York’s last remaining Off-Broadway theaters.
